It’s fair to say that Kanye West is not the most rational and consistent of thinkers, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the self-proclaimed devoted dad also exposed his 9-year-old daughter North to all kinds of bizarre antics at his 46th birthday party. One antic involved Nyotaimori, the Japanese practice of serving sushi or sashimi on a woman’s nude body, Page Six and other outlets reported. It’s easy to guess that West, a self-styled visionary musician and fashion designer, reasoned that he was introducing his daughter to a form of artistic expression.Kanye West included the Japanese practice Nyotaimori at his 46th birthday party last night, which involves serving sashimi or sushi off the naked body of a woman. pic.twitter.com/c2XdnoCd9n— Pop Crave (@PopCrave) June 11, 2023But West also is the father who once accused his ex-wife Kim Kardashian of being a bad mother because she made a sex tape and because she let North go on TikTok, exposing her t...San Jose police investigating after body found in Milpitas landfill

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) — The Biden administration on Monday urged states to slow down their purge of Medicaid rolls, citing concerns that large numbers of lower-income people are losing health care coverage due to administrative reasons. The nation’s Medicaid rolls swelled during the coronavirus pandemic as states were prohibited from ending people’s coverage. But that came to a halt in April, and states now must re-evaluate recipients’ eligibility — just as they had been regularly required to do before the pandemic. In some states, about half of those whose Medicaid renewal cases were decided in April or May have lost their coverage, according to data submitted to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and obtained by The Associated Press. The primary cause is what CMS describes as “procedural reasons,” such as the failure to return forms. “I am deeply concerned with the number of people unnecessarily losing coverage, especially those who appear to hav...Proposal to end Senate standoff over military promotions and abortion policy goes nowhere

WASHINGTON (AP) — Hopes were dashed Monday for an imminent end to a Senate standoff that has delayed the promotions of more than 200 military officers and could delay the confirmation of President Joe Biden’s pick for chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.Republican Sen. Tommy Tuberville of Alabama has been blocking the nominations to pressure the Defense Department to rescind a policy that reimburses service members who have to travel out of state for abortions and other reproductive care. Alabama is among the states where abortion is now illegal. A proposal to hold a Senate debate over Pentagon abortion policies as part of the annual defense bill negotiations was seen by some senators as the best prospect for getting Tuberville to lift those holds, but his office said Monday that Tuberville was opposed. The hold affects everyone from four-star Air Force Gen. CQ Brown, who was nominated to serve as the next chairman of the joint chiefs, to scores of one, two and three-star officers...TriNet, Nasdaq fall; Ballard Power, Chinook Therapeutics rise, Monday, 6/12/2023
